Percipio Learning - Cancel an Assignment

You can cancel any In Progress or Scheduled assignment. Canceling an assignment is irreversible, and the assignment is non-recoverable. Once canceled, the assignment is no longer completable to those learners who have not finished it. You cannot report on canceled assignments.

Site Admins can cancel any In Progress or Scheduled assignment. Learning Admins can cancel In Progress or Scheduled assignments they created for their audiences and the learners within their audiences.

You can cancel assignments in one of two ways:

Cancel for all users and audiences:

  1. From the Admin menu, select LEARNING > Assignments. The Assignments page displays.
  2. Locate the In Progress or Scheduled assignment you wish to cancel.
  3. Select More actions button, three vertical dots >  Cancel for all.
  4. In the confirmation box, you can opt to notify the user(s) by selecting Notify user. After you select Yes, cancel assignment, Percipio immediately cancels the assignment and if selected, sends an email notification letting learners know the assignment was canceled. Learners can remove a canceled assignment from their Assignment list by selecting the trashcan icon 

Cancel for a selected number of users or audiences:

You can only cancel assignments for individuals who have started or not started an assignment. You cannot cancel an assignment if a user completed the assignment.

  1. From the Admin menu, select LEARNING > Assignments. The Assignments page displays.
  2. Locate the In Progress or Scheduled assignment you wish to cancel.
  3. From the Action menu More actions button, three vertical dots, select  Summary. The assignment summary page displays.
  4. Select either the Manager Users or the Manage Audiences tab depending on whether you are canceling an individual user or an audience. You can cancel an individual user who was added as part of an audience from the Manager Users tab.
  5. Identify those in the list that should be canceled.
    1. For an individual user or audiences, from the Action menu More actions button, three vertical dots, select cancel assignment button, circle with horizontal line in the middleCancel assignment
    2. If you want to select more than one individual or audience, first select Bulk Actions, then select each user or audience, then select the Cancel assignment button.
  6. In the confirmation box, you can opt to notify the user(s) by selecting Notify user. After you select Yes, cancel assignment, Percipio immediately cancels the assignment and if selected, sends an email notification letting learners know the assignment was canceled. Learners can remove a canceled assignment from their Assignment list by selecting the trashcan icon .
