Competencies may be assigned by Department instead of by Job with Performance Groups. This process can be used for any organizational unit as needed. The steps are illustrated in detail below.

 

Detailed Information

  1. Navigate to the Performance plan and select Competency Options
    Then check "Assign competencies associated with the Performance Group and click Save

  2. Scroll down to Performance Groups and click the icon next to "Group By"

  3. Select Department and click OK

  4. Scroll down and click "Add From List"

  5. Check the box to highlight all Departments*, then click OK
                   *(or check the box on specific rows to select only some departments)

  6. Click the glasses icon next to each department to add competencies to each area

  7. Click Add, then select the proper competencies for that group

  8. Competency counts will be displayed for each group after they are added.
    After Competencies have been properly added to each organizational unit, click Save
