Percipio Learning - Bulk Import Multiple External Links

If you have several external links to add to Percipio, you can do it using the bulk import process instead of adding them one by one.

The bulk import process involves filling out a CSV template file and uploading it to Percipio.

To get started:

  1. From the Admin menu, choose CONTENT > Content Items. The Manage Content Items page displays.
  2. Click Add Custom Content.
  3. Under the Add content items in bulk using CSV templates, select External links(CSV template). The Add Custom Content page displays.
  4. Select Download template to download the template file, then open and fill in all required fields. See CSV template values for details about what values to add in each field. We recommend that the CSV file contain no more than 1500 rows or content items.
  5. Validate your CSV file.
    1. If all records pass validation, you can continue with the import.
    2. If some of your records fail validation, you can still continue with the import, but those records with errors will be skipped. If you want to fix the errors before continuing, Download the validation report.
      1. Open the validation report in your spreadsheet editor, fix the errors and remove the error column.
      2. Resave the CSV file.
      3. Add the new CSV file for validation again.
    3.  If most of your records failed validation, you cannot continue with the import. Download the validation report.

  6. Confirm you are ready to import the file. Percipio processes each row.
  7. After Percipio processes the import, review the summary report including how many items were added successfully and how many items were added to custom channels.
  8. If you added items to custom channels, you must now publish those custom channels in order for learners to see the new content. Do this from the Content menu and select Channels.

    If you did not specify custom channels in your CSV file, you must go to the Content menu and select either Channels or Journeys, add your content items to either a channel or journey, and then publish the channel or journey in order for learners to see it.
